Accounting & tax support for freelancers and small businesses in Bulgaria info@sofiatax.com

Editorial standards

Editorial Policy

How SofiaTax creates, sources, maintains and corrects accounting, tax, VAT and payroll content.

Purpose and scope

Our guides explain practical Bulgarian accounting and tax topics to freelancers, foreign professionals and small businesses. They provide general information and do not replace advice based on the facts of an individual case.

Ownership and accountability

The SofiaTax Editorial Team owns the content process. George Minchev, founder of Minchev Consulting Group, is the editorial lead responsible for the standards and review workflow. A named professional reviewer is shown only after that person has explicitly signed off the specific article.

Sources

YMYL guides prioritise primary and authoritative sources: the Bulgarian National Revenue Agency, National Social Security Institute, Registry Agency, Bulgarian government institutions, EUR-Lex and official European Commission guidance. Each guide lists the sources most relevant to its subject.

Review and update cycle

Guides are scheduled for review at least every 12 months and earlier after a material legislative, administrative or procedural change. Publication and modification dates describe actual content events; dates are not refreshed merely to make an article appear current.

Corrections

Material errors are corrected promptly. A correction that changes the practical conclusion also changes the modification date. To report an issue, email info@sofiatax.com and include the page URL and the point that requires review.

Independence and commercial content

Guides may link to a relevant SofiaTax service, but service promotion does not determine the factual conclusion. We do not publish paid rankings or undisclosed sponsored tax recommendations.
